Headlight Lens Polishing
Cloudy, foggy, yellowing headlight restoration service. Safety is important for you and your family as well as other road users. Our restoration service will bring your headlights back to life. Saving you the inconvenience and great expense of having to replace your headlights if you fail your MOT.
OUR MULTI STEP PROCESS :
Step 1 – Inspect the area to be restored to check for chips or cracks that could affect the final finish. At this point it is a good idea to check the operation of the bulbs and note any recommendations.
Step 2 – Wash the lights with shampoo, dry and then using a clay bar to remove ingrained dirt so that the light is completely clean.
Step 3- Protect the surrounding bodywork with protective tape.
Step 4 – The restoration can begin using a multi step process of various grades of cutting compounds that will gradually polish the lens back to its factory fresh finish.
Step 5 – Once clarity has been restored, a wax is applied to seal the lens.
Step 6 – (Optional) a long term ceramic seal is applied that acts as a long term protection against UV rays.
